Coleman coached RMU's softball for 14 years
CORAOPOLIS, Pa. -- Craig Coleman, the softball coach at Robert Morris University for 14 years, has been promoted to athletic director.
Coleman replaces Susan Hofacre, who died of cancer Jan. 8.
Besides his coaching duties, Coleman has worked since 1988 as an associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School. He's also served as the attending psychiatrist at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in Pittsburgh.
Coleman said the time was right for him to make a professional change. He said he's always had a passion for athletics and for the past 15 years has held management positions in health care.
Coleman's softball teams won five Northeast Conference tournament championships.
