Notes: Fullerton has swept its last four weekend series. Soph. SS Blake Davis and Jr. 2B Justin Turner each collected four hits Sunday as the Titans rolled up 20 total. Davis added four runs and four RBI that game, and enjoyed two-hit contests on Friday and Saturday as well. Jr. RHP Ricky Romero (9-4, 2.70) allowed an earned run on three hits over eight innings. He struck out eight.

Jr. 1B/DH Micah Owings delivered a two-run single in the 10th in Saturday's first game before homering twice as the Green Wave dropped the nightcap, moved up a day because of a rainy forecast.

Sr. SS Seth Johnston keeps on swinging, with three hits Sunday and six for the series to give him seven multi-hit games out of his last 10 and a .401 season average.

4. Oregon State

Notes: Oregon State matched its best league wins total since the Pac-10 combined the Northern and Southern divisions in 1999 and reached its largest overall wins total since 1998 (35-14-1). The Beavers also set three attendance records in the series: Two single-game marks (topping out at 2,120 on Saturday) and a series mark (5,923). Jr. CF Jacoby Ellsbury drove in three runs, and Soph. RHP Jonah Nickerson and Soph. LHP Kevin Gunderson (whose two saves in the series gave him nine on the year and 12 for his career, tying two school records) combined on an eight-hitter Sunday to clinch the series. Soph. OF Mike Lissman hit a three-run homer Friday to spark a comeback.

Notes: Miami struggled to earn a series victory against Maryland, dropping the final game after allowing three-run homers in the first and second innings. The loss dropped the Hurricanes a half-game behind Georgia Tech in the ACC race. Jr. 3B Ryan Braun homered in all three games to move into fifth place on the school's career list with 41. Jr. RHP Cesar Carrillo won his 22nd consecutive decision Friday. Jr. CF Danny Figueroa got hit by two pitches in the series, breaking the school record with No. 33 Saturday. Sr. RF Paco Figueroa sat out Sunday after tweaking his hamstring Saturday.

Notes: Florida lost its first conference series since the opening weekend of league play but maintained first place in the overall SEC standings. Florida posted a 7.33 ERA for the series, allowing a .372 average and 12 extra-base hits. Soph. 2B Adam Davis set a school record and tied an SEC mark with 10 RBI Saturday, including a grand slam and a three-run homer. Sr. RHP Connor Falkenbach appeared in all three games of the series, tying John Pricher for the most appearances in school history with 104.

Notes: Nebraska earned a series win amid the controversy surrounding Oklahoma coach Larry Cochell and moved into second place in the Big 12 on percentage points over Texas. Notably, the Huskers join Florida as the second No. 8 team to win a weekend series. The Huskers post a 1.29 ERA for the week, led by Jr. LHP Zach Kroenke holding OU to five hits in a complete game Friday. Fr. RHP Johnny Dorn improved to 7-1 Saturday in his first conference start. He hasn't allowed an earned run in 18.1 innings.

Notes: Georgia Tech won its first series at Clemson since 1993 to regain first place in the ACC by a half-game over Miami. Soph. 3B Wes Hodges drove in three runs Sunday to make a winner of out Soph. LHP Ryan Turner, who made his first weekend series start. Clemson scored three in the ninth Saturday to steal a win. Fr. C Matt Wieters scored three runs and drove in four with a grand slam and threw two scoreless innings for a save Friday.

Nothing proved more resounding than the 13-run third inning the Wildcats produced Sunday in which eight of the nine starters scored at least one run. Jr. LF Trevor Crowe cranked two home runs and Soph. SS Jason Donald drove in five runs. Sr. RHP Kevin Guyette allowed two runs on eight hits over 7.2 innings Saturday. Jr. RHP John Meloan took his first loss in two years Friday as Arizona was shut out Friday for the second time on the year.

Notes: More than 9,500 fans watched Baylor take the series and remain atop the Big 12. The Bears cranked four home runs in Sunday's clincher, including two from Jr. RF Seth Fortenberry, who now has three for his career. Jr. RHP Abe Woody earned the win in relief Sunday after taking the loss Saturday. Sr. LHP Trey Taylor threw six scoreless innings Friday but didn't earn a decision as Baylor scored five runs in the seventh to decide the outcome.

Notes: The Beach has won five straight games after holding future Big West opponent UC Davis to one run on 13 hits for the weekend. Jr. LHP Cesar Ramos threw a 98-pitch complete game Friday, allowing five hits in his second shutout of the year. Jr. RHP Marco Estrada allowed three hits over eight shutout innings Saturday, when the Dirtbags tied a Blair Field record with four homers, two from Jr. SS Troy Tulowitzki.

Notes: Alabama kept a one-game lead in the SEC West with two comeback wins and has seven wins in its last nine games. The Crimson Tide scored six times in the eighth inning Sunday, with Sr. LF Gabe Scott's two-run homer capping the outburst. Jr. 3B Evan Bush hit a grand slam off Georgia closer Will Startup in the eighth inning Friday to give Alabama the win. Fr RHP David Robertson recorded saves with scoreless ninth innings Tuesday and Friday before making a start Sunday in which he struck out nine batters in seven innings, allowing three runs.

SS Josh Horton collected eight hits in the series, including a game-tying double in the ninth inning Friday and a game-tying triple in the eighth inning Saturday. Jr. RHP Jonathan Hovis got tagged with both losses in relief, allowing two runs in 2.1 innings Friday and a run over two innings Sunday.

Sr. RF Nick Stavinoha batted .500-2-4 in the series, driving in all three runs Sunday. He's now batting .370-14-46 on the year. Sr. CF Ryan Patterson totaled four hits, including a homer, in Saturday's doubleheader.

Jr. LF Michael Campbell drove in two runs with a two-out ninth-inning single Saturday as the Gamecocks escaped with a win. Closer Brent Marsh earned the win there and a save Sunday, his 10th of the year. Sr. RHP Zac McCamie, the team stopper, allowed just two runs and struck out seven in 7.1 innings Saturday but didn't earn a decision.

Jr. RHP Kevin Ardoin struck out nine batters in Friday's win, becoming the third pitcher in school history to top 300 K's. His 306 are two shy of second-place Andy Gros.

OF Bryan Kinneberg collected the game-winning single Sunday, while Sr. 3B Matt Devine did the honors Friday night to make a winner out of his younger brother, Jr. RHP Joey Devine, who coughed up leads in the first and second games of the series. The best Wolfpack pitcher proved to be Fr. RHP Andrew Brackman, who struck out a career-high 12 batters against two walks while allowing three runs on four hits Friday in his first ACC start. Soph. 1B Aaron Bates delivered a grand slam Sunday.
