Play in Athens Regional suspended on Day 1

ATHENS, Ga. -- Florida State had 18 hits, including five
doubles and three homers, to build an 18-0 lead through seven
innings before play was suspended because of lightning. Play was
scheduled to resume at 9 a.m. Sunday
The second game between Georgia (41-19) and Sacred Heart (26-28)
was pushed back to Saturday at 11 a.m.
The Seminoles (42-19) knocked previously undefeated Jacksonville
ace Matt Dobbins out of the game with a six-run first inning.
Jacksonville entered the game 42-17.
Tony Thomas Jr. was a triple short of the cycle, scoring twice
and driving in four. Ryan Strauss doubled twice and singled to
drive in a career-high five runs. Travis Anderson drove in four
runs with a single and double. Shane Robinson hit his sixth homer
of the season. Josh Spivey came off the bench to hit his third
homer of the year.
Seminoles starter Michael Hyde pitched five shutout innings,
giving up just two hits and striking out five.
