Northeastern Athletic Director stepping down in July
BOSTON -- Northeastern University is announcing that athletics director Dave O'Brien is going to step down in July to take a faculty appointment at Drexel University in Philadelphia.
O'Brien led Northeastern's recent move to the Colonial Athletic Association. He will become the director of sports management at Drexel. He's been at Northeastern for five years.
Associate athletic director Peter Roby will take over on an interim basis when O'Brien leaves on July 1.
