Schneider makes 24 saves in BC's win over Saints
MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Freshman Ben Smith had a goal and an assist, and Cory Schneider made 24 saves for Boston College on Saturday in a 4-1 victory over St. Lawrence in the first round of the NCAA hockey tournament.
Brian Boyle, Andrew Orpik and Brock Bradford also scored for the Eagles (27-11-1). Brock McBride scored for St. Lawrence (23-14-2).
Boston College advanced to the final of the Northeast Regional, where it will face Miami, Ohio, on Sunday with a spot in the Frozen Four on the line.
