Police: Tigers' Adair attacked daughters
CLEMSON, S.C. -- Clemson men's soccer coach Trevor Adair has been arrested after police say he attacked his two teenage daughters over the weekend.
Clemson Police Chief Jimmy Dixon says that 48-year-old Adair was released on a $10,000 bond on Monday. Adair is charged with two counts assault and battery.
Adair's attorney Ryan Beasley says the Saturday charge involves a personal and difficult matter for the family. He declined to comment further on Adair's case.
Several news reports indicate that Clemson athletic officials have placed Adair on a leave of absence. A call to an athletic department spokesman was not immediately returned.
Adair led the Tigers team to the College Cup Final Four in 2005.
