(8-4 vs. Top 25) Weekend Series: 11-2 LSU won two of three at Mississippi State to tie for the SEC regular-season championship with Mississippi; the Tigers earned the top seed in the conference tournament by virtue of a head-to-head series win over the Rebels. It's LSU's first conference title since 2003 and 14th overall, tying Alabama for most all time. LSU overcame a 4-1 deficit Thursday with three runs in the seventh and one in the eighth to make a winner out of sophomore RHP Anthony Ranaudo (7.1 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 4 BB, 5 K). Senior RHP Louis Coleman (6 IP, 7 H, 7 ER, 1 BB, 6 K) was hittable Friday, but the Tigers rallied for four in the ninth to tie the score; however, freshman RHP Matty Ott allowed the winning run in the bottom of the frame. Sophomore OF Leon Landry (5-for-6, 3 R, 7 RBI, 3 HR) had a career game in LSU's 23-hit barrage Sunday. Landry is the first Tiger to hit three homers in a game since Quinn Stewart in 2006. Sophomore RHP Daniel Renken (8.2 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 5 K) improved to 8-2, 2.42 in Friday's win. The Titans couldn't hold a 5-0 lead through six innings Saturday, but they won in the 10th on a sacrifice fly by junior OF Josh Fellhauer. Fellhauer (3-for-4, R, 4 RBI) led a 15-hit attack in a losing effort Sunday as freshman RHP Tyler Pill (1.2 IP, 7 H, 7 ER) was shellacked. The Aggies were swept at Oklahoma and lost five of their past six conference games to finish sixth in the Big 12. Sophomore LHP/OF Brooks Raley (6 IP, 9 H, 6 ER) struggled for the second straight week in Friday's loss. The Aggies mustered just two hits Saturday in support of freshman LHP Ross Hales (5.1 IP, 9 H, 6 R, 5 ER). Sophomore RHP Barret Loux (1.1 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 1 ER) had his second straight short outing Sunday.
