Warriors cancel other athletic events
The University of Hawaii has canceled or postponed most of Saturday's athletic events after a tsunami warning closed the school's campus in Honolulu.
However, the men's basketball game versus Nevada is scheduled to be played tonight with the evening announcement of the tsunami warning being lifted. The "Senior Night" game will be played at its regularly scheduled start time of 12:05 p.m. ET at the Stan Sheriff Center.
An 8.8-magnitude earthquake struck Chile early Saturday, causing the tsunami warning for most of Saturday on the Hawaiian islands.
Canceled was the men's volleyball game against BYU at Maui's War Memorial Gym and the women's soccer team's six-on-six tournament.
The baseball game scheduled against Oregon will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 1 p.m., with the rescheduled game starting 30 minutes after the first game ends.
