What better stage than Madison Square Garden -- the world's most famous arena -- as a venue for the players to close out their prep careers.

Nine of the top 10 players from the ESPNU 100 were named Tuesday, with 16 of the top 20 represented.

Historically the game has produced some of the great names in the game, including NBA All-Stars LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Amare Stoudemire and Chris Paul. Tyler Hansbrough of North Carolina was the 2008 national college player of the year.

Besides a national flavor, the Jordan Brand Classic has local ties, with Dominic Cheek of St. Anthony (Jersey City, N.J.), Lamont "Mo Mo" Jones of Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) and Durand Scott of Rice (Manhattan, N.Y.). Jones, a New York native, attended Rice before transferring before his junior year.

Additionally, Jordan Hamilton of Dominguez (Compton, Calif.), who signed with Texas and is the nation's No. 9 prospect, will see action after sitting out his senior season. Hamilton exhausted his high school eligibility last year. His appeals to the state for an extra year were denied.

Head coaches and assistants for both rosters will be named in March.

Here's the remainder of the roster (listed alphabetically):

Kenny Boynton of American Heritage School (Plantation, Fla.); Avery Bradley of Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.); DeMarcus Cousins of LeFlore (Mobile, Ala.); Derrick Favors of South Atlanta (Atlanta, Ga.); Abdul Gaddy of Bellarmine Prep (Tacoma, Wash.); Keith Gallon of Oak Hill Academy; John Henson of Sickles (Tampa, Fla.); Wallace Judge of Arlington Country Day (Jacksonville, Fla.); Tommy Mason-Griffin of Madison (Houston); Alex Oriakhi of Tilton (N.H.) School; Daniel Orton of Bishop McGuinness (Oklahoma City); Mason Plumlee of Christ School (Arden, N.C.); Renardo Sidney Jr. of Fairfax (Los Angeles); John Wall of Word of God (Raleigh, N.C.) and Royce White of Hopkins (Minnetonka, Minn.).
