The 6-foot-11 senior at southern Indiana's Washington High School had narrowed his choices to Indiana, Butler and North Carolina. He announced his decision Thursday at his high school gym.
Zeller is Crean's highest-rated recruit since taking over three years ago at Indiana.
Zeller, who is rated No. 15 overall in the ESPNU 150 and the No. 4 power forward, kept the decision a closely guarded secret until his announcement.
Like his two older brothers, he won an Indiana state championship with the Hatchets.
Indiana tried to recruit Zeller's older brothers, but lost out. Luke Zeller played at Notre Dame, and Tyler Zeller plays at North Carolina.
