Throughout the high school football season, Scouts Inc. keeps tabs on the nation's top prospects. Each week, we'll provide up-to-date stats on the players ranked in the 2010 ESPNU 150. Many states kicked off their seasons this week. Here's a look at how the nation's top prospects performed:
Quarterbacks
Penn State-bound signal-caller Robert Bolden completed 10 of 20 passes (50 percent) for 145 yards and one interception as St. Mary's (Orchard Lake, Mich.) lost 21-7 to East (Grand Rapids, Mich.) in front of 6,000 fans, the Detroit Free Press reports. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound prospect rushed for one touchdown Thursday night.DeMarco Cobbs and Central (Tulsa, Okla.) suffered a shutout defeat to Booker T. Washington (Tulsa, Okla.) to begin the season. Cobbs, who was playing quarterback, rushed for 47 yards on 12 carries (3.9 average) and completed just one pass attempt in Friday's contest, according to the Tulsa World. Scouts Inc. lists Cobbs as an athlete who could play several positions at the college level.

Running backs
Florida-bound running back Mack Brown (Lithonia, Ga./King) had 66 yards on 21 carries (3.14 average yards per carry) in King's 13-9 victory over Southwest DeKalb (Decatur, Ga.) on Friday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Five-star prospect Marcus Lattimore (Duncan, S.C./Byrnes) scored three touchdowns and amassed 133 rush yards on 26 carries (5.1 average) in Byrnes' 43-7 victory over Central Gwinnett (Lawrenceville, Ga.) on Saturday, the Spartanburg (S.C.) Herald-Journal reports.
Georgia recruit Kendrun Malcome (Decatur, Ga./Southwest DeKalb) rushed for 75 yards on 17 carries (4.4 average) in Southwest DeKalb's season-opening loss to M.L. King (Lithonia, Ga.) on Friday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Receivers and tight ends
Clemson commit Martavis Bryant (Anderson, S.C./Hanna) had four catches, including one for the go-ahead score late in the fourth quarter, for 67 yards (16.7 average) in Hanna's 16-12 victory over Westside (Anderson, S.C.) on Friday night, according to the Anderson (S.C.) Independent Mail.
Tight end Xavier Grimble caught five passes for 82 yards (16.4 average), including an 18-yard touchdown in Bishop Gorman's (Las Vegas) 48-14 interstate thrashing of Dixie (St. George, Utah) on Friday night, the Las Vegas Sun reports.

Wideout Chris Jones (Daingerfield, Texas) had a 71-yard touchdown catch in Daingerfield's 21-14 victory over Atlanta (Texas) on Friday, according to the (Longview) News-Journal.
Wideout Tai-ler Jones (Gainesville, Ga.) had five catches for 73 yards (14.6 average) in Gainesville's 34-0 victory over Chestatee (Gainesville, Ga.) on Friday, the Gainesville (Ga.) Times reports.
Receiver Ivan McCartney (Miramar, Fla.) caught two balls for 14 yards (7 average) in Miramar's 31-14 victory over Stranahan (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) on Friday. According to the Miami Herald, McCartney faced double coverage most of the night.
Wide receiver Solomon Patton (Mobile, Ala./Murphy) rushed 85 yards for a score on the first play and caught five passes for 68 yards (13.6 average), including a 27-yard touchdown, in Murphy's 31-29 victory over Foley, Ala., the (Mobile) Press-Register reports.
Georgia commit Da'Rick Rogers (Calhoun, Ga.) was all over the field in Calhoun's 31-28 victory over Dalton (Ga.) on Friday. The explosive wideout amassed 204 all-purpose yards and scored two touchdowns, including a 97-yard kickoff return, according to the (Dalton) Daily Citizen.
Alabama commit Brian Vogler (Columbus, Ga./Brookstone) was a major contributor in Brookstone's 31-17 victory over Landmark Christian (Fairburn, Ga.) Friday night. The touted tight end caught three balls for 102 yards (34 average) and two touchdowns, according to the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer.
Defenders
Prospect Devon Carrington, a Stanford commit, returned an interception for a touchdown in Hamilton's (Chandler, Ariz.) 73-15 destruction of St. Mary's (Phoenix) on Thursday, writes the Arizona Republic.
Under Armour All-American safety Jonathan Dowling intercepted a pass and blocked an extra point but was beaten for a touchdown in Southeast's (Bradenton, Fla.) 12-6 loss to Hillsborough (Tampa, Fla.) on Friday night, writes the (Sarasota) Herald Tribune.
Under Armour All-American linebacker V.J. Fehoko recorded five sacks in Farrington's (Honolulu) 20-17 triumph over Roosevelt (Honolulu) on Friday.
Future Michigan State defensive end William Gholston (Detroit/Southeastern) showed his freakish ability on Friday night in Detroit Southeastern's 40-0 victory over Osborn (Detroit). The nation's No. 3 defensive end registered four sacks, according to The Detroit News.
Penn State pledge Evan Hailes, an Under Armour All-American, rushed for a 2-yard touchdown Friday night during Oscar Smith's (Chesapeake, Va.) 27-13 win over Venice, Fla., on ESPNU. Hailes typically lines up at tackle.
Under Armour All-American linebacker Jordan Hicks (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) blitzed from the right side, deflected a pass into the air, made the interception, and returned the ball to the 4-yard line in the fourth quarter, the (Hamilton) Journal-News reports. Lakota West scored a would-be game-tying touchdown but missed the extra point. Northmont (Clayton, Ohio) held on for the 7-6 win on Friday.
Under Armour All-American inside linebacker Jeff Luc registered 10 tackles and blocked an extra point Thursday night, but Treasure Coast (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) fell to Boyd Anderson (Lauderdale Lakes, Fla.) 20-18, The Palm Beach Post reports.
No. 8-rated CB Cody Riggs (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) intercepted a pass in the first quarter of St. Thomas Aquinas' 52-7 triumph over Upper Arlington (Columbus, Ohio) Saturday afternoon on ESPN at Ohio Stadium, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
LSU commit Tharold Simon (Eunice, La.) had a 59-yard touchdown catch in Eunice's 19-14 win over Beau Chene (Arnaudville, La.) on Friday night, according to the (Lafayette) Daily Advertiser. Simon is expected to play safety for the Tigers.
Future Florida Gator Jaylen Watkins (Fort Myers, Fla./Cape Coral) showed his playmaking ability at quarterback. Watkins, who is expected to line up on defense in college, had a 20-yard touchdown pass and 80-yard touchdown run in Cape Coral's 32-32 tie against Riverdale (Fort Myers, Fla.), according to the (Fort Myers) News-Press.
