Bell completed 26 of 29 attempts for 281 yards and two scores in Bishop Carroll's 35-12 win over Wichita South, The Wichita Eagle reports.

Jake Heaps, QB, (Sammamish, Wash./Skyline) Scouts grade: 81

BYU-bound Heaps was 16-for-31 for 275 yards with one TD and three interceptions in Skyline's 28-25 loss to Oaks Christian (Concord, Calif.) on Friday, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports.

Nick Montana, QB (Concord, Calif./Oaks Christian)

Position rank: 12
Washington commit Montana impressed the fans in Seattle on Friday with his strong showing in a nationally televised game against Skyline (Sammamish, Wash.). The Under Armour All-American completed 21 of 34 passes and compiled three touchdowns through the air in a 28-25 victory, The Seattle Times reports.

Chase Rettig, QB (Sierra Madre, Calif./San Clemente)

Boston College commit Rettig completed 21 of 25 passes for 199 yards and two scores in San Clemente's 21-3 victory over Trabujco Hills (Mission Viejo, Calif.) on Friday, reports The Orange County Register.

Alabama recruit Sims passed for 219 yards and a score in Oscar Smith's 34-0 win over King's Fork (Suffolk, Va.) on Friday, according to The (Hampton Roads, Va.) Virginian-Pilot.

Running backs

Marcus Lattimore, RB (Duncan, S.C./James Byrnes)

It took five-star running back Lattimore only eight carries to amass 111 yards (13.75 average) and three touchdowns in Byrnes' 85-8 destruction of Woodland (Dorchester, S.C.) on Friday night. Lattimore's Rebels scored 37 points in the first quarter and never looked back, according to the (Spartanburg, S.C.) Herald-Journal.

Jordon James, RB, (Corona, Calif.)

James' 75-yard touchdown run was about the only positive development for his team in Corona's 45-14 loss to Mission Viejo (Calif.). James left the game in the second quarter with an injury and did not return, according to The Orange County Register.

Jones put Oaks Christian in position for a win with his 48-yard scoring run to start the fourth quarter in the California powerhouse's 28-25 victory over Skyline (Sammamish, Wash.). According to the Los Angeles Times, Jones compiled 115 rush yards in the contest.

Under Armour All-American running back Seastrunk scored on touchdown runs of 67 and 21 yards in Temple's 17-14 victory over Plano. The two scores gave Seastrunk 42 for his career, which breaks a school record, the Temple Daily Telegram reports.

Texas Tech commit Boone struggled to get involved in his team's defeat Friday night. The nation's 96th-ranked player compiled 45 total yards (26 rushing, 19 receiving) in Trinity Catholic's 17-7 defeat to Tampa Catholic, the St. Petersburg Times reports.

Corey Brown, WR, (Springfield, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara)

Ohio State commit Brown compiled 222 all-purpose yards and scored a touchdown in Cardinal O'Hara's win over North Catholic (Philadelphia), according to The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Touted wideout Shaw may miss next week's game after enduring an injury in the second half of Dr. Phillips' 27-20 victory over Olympia (Orlando). Shaw caught seven passes for 75 yards (10.7 average) before leaving the game, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

Ohio State commit Norwell was injured on the second series of Anderson's 28-25 victory over DeSales (Columbus, Ohio) on Friday, according to The Columbus Dispatch. On Saturday, Norwell told ESPN affiliate Bucknuts.com he will miss the season. "I broke my tibia just above my left ankle," Norwell said. "I go for surgery on Monday. I'll be out for three months."

Defenders

Demar Dorsey, S (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Boyd Anderson)

Dowling returned an interception 45 yards for an early score and caught two touchdown passes Friday night. In spite of the Florida recruit's efforts, Southeast fell to Manatee (Bradenton, Fla.) 30-26, according to the Bradenton Herald.

Khairi Fortt, ILB, (Stamford, Conn./Stamford)

Fortt exited Stamford's 23-6 loss to Ridgefield (Conn.) on Thursday with a knee injury, the (Danbury, Conn.) News-Times reports.

He is expected to undergo an MRI on Friday. Stamford coach Kevin Jones said, "If I were to guess, I'd say he'd be out a couple of weeks. It's definitely not day-to-day."

Fortt said of the injury: "I didn't get hit at all. It feels fine when I'm walking but it is sore going upstairs. It's killing me, man. It's hard. I thought I was going to have a great season. I'm sure it is nothing serious. I hoped to have a good first game."

William Gholston, DE, (Detroit/Southeastern)

Baxter did not play in the second quarter after experiencing an apparent reaction to an energy drink which caused his heart to race and made him nauseated, The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
