Russellville High School's Brent Calloway remains committed to Alabama, but after taking an unofficial visit to Auburn on Tuesday, he says the Tigers have made a big move.

Auburn is recruiting Calloway, 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds, as a running back. Alabama is recruiting him as a linebacker.

"I would say I'm committed to Alabama, of course. True enough," Calloway said. "I still have to look around and see. I can't just shut myself off from everybody else because I'm committed. I'm going to do what I have to do and see every school I can see."

Calloway said spending the day in Auburn with his father certainly turned his head.

"Oh, definitely," Calloway said. "I had not been down here to see everything. Now that I see everything, it gives them a better chance as the recruiting process goes along."

Calloway said there was little doubt he would be back.

"I'll definitely get down for maybe a practice and a game or two," Calloway said. "I have to get back down here."

Calloway toured the campus and the athletic facilities, met with academic people and with Auburn coaches. The Tiger coaches, he said, made a big impression.

"All of them are cool," Calloway said. "They are laid-back. I like that about the coaches. They are cool down here. Everything they do, they're not sugarcoating anything. They're not telling you anything that's not true. They are going to be real about it. That's a good thing. When a coach can be real that says a lot about him and the school.

"The first impression couldn't be any better."
