Mountaineers dismiss junior forward

Starting junior forward Drew Schifino of Pittsburgh, Pa., has been dismissed by West Virginia for violation of team rules. He averaged 17.6 points and 5.1 rebounds in 11 games this season.

Sophomore forward Erik Bond of Seattle-Seattle Prep, Wash., who recently announced he is transfering from California, has picked St. Mary's over Gonzaga.
