Leggett switches from Gators to 'Canes

Top 150 receiver Lance Leggett of Arlington-Grace Prep, Tex., has decommitted from Florida to Miami-Florida. The Canes recently gained defensive lineman Joe Joseph of Orlando-Oak Ridge, Fla., over Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina.

Nebraska pledged offensive lineman Danny Muy of Tallahassee-Lincoln, Fla., over Alabama, Clemson, Florida, UConn, Duke and Louisville.

Defensive lineman Cleodis Floyd of Compton CC, Cal., whose coach reported a commitment to Colorado, apparently did not have an offer.

Virginia Tech has Super Prospect linebacker Andrew Bowman of Richmond-Hermitage, Va., over Virginia, Tennessee and Purdue. The Hokies recently gained running back/linebacker Michael Green of Westville-Deptford, NJ., over Minnesota and Indiana.

Pittsburgh has pledged receiver Marcel Pestano of Lehigh Acres-Lehigh, Fla., over Syracuse and Iowa State. The Panthers recently gained running back Brandon Mason of Phillipsburg, NJ.

West Virginia added running back Alphonso Gross of East Brewton-Neal, Ala., over Louisville, Southern Mississippi and Marshall.

Syracuse has pledges from linebacker Jamar Atkinson of Woodbridge-Garfield, Va/SUNY-Morrisville, NY., who had picked the Orangemen as a prep; and defensive lineman/linebacker Jonathan Pierre-Etienne of Montreal-Cegep du Vieux Montreal.

North Carolina has pledged Super Prospect defensive back Trimane Goddard of Robersonville-Roanoke, NC., over Virginia, Florida State and Tennessee. The Heels recently gained defensive back Stephen Green of Little Rock-Pulaski County, Ark; receiver Del Roberts of Tallahassee-Godby, Fla; defensive back Daniel Phelps of Sarasota-Booker, Fla; running back Antwain Carey of Chesapeake-Deep Creek, Va; and receiver Brooks Foster of Boiling Springs, SC.

SEC Verbal List

LSU has linebacker Ali Highsmith of Miami-Central, Fla., who chose Miami-Florida in Class 2003. The Tigers recently added one of the nation's top defensive linemen in Marlon Favorite of Harvey-West Jefferson, La., over Miami-Florida, Southern California, Colorado and Tulane.

Linebacker Titus Brown of Tuscaloosa-Hillcrest, Ala., picked Mississippi State.

Georgia has a commitment from offensive lineman Chester Adams of Luverne, Ala., over Alabama, Auburn, Southern Mississippi, Clemson and Troy State. The Bulldogs recently added defensive lineman Brandon Lang of Tucker, Ga., over Arkansas, Florida, Florida State, Louisville, Maryland, Nebraska and North Carolina.

Arkansas gained defensive back Randy Kelly of Bradenton-Manatee, Fla/Coffeyville CC, Kan. The Razorbacks recently added receiver Jamaal Anderson of Little Rock-Parkview, Ark., over Alabama, Colorado, Mississippi and Florida.

Memphis has pledged defensive lineman Ryan Williams of Memphis-Christian Brothers, Tenn. The Tigers recently signed linebacker Carlton Baker of Belle Glade, Fla/Hutchinson CC, Kan., who decommitted from North Carolina. He chose Arkansas as a prep.

South Florida has pledged running back Andre Copeland of Lake City-Columbia, Fla.

Quarterback Davon Drew of New Bern, NC., is a commitment for East Carolina. The Pirates recently gained quarterback Patrick Pinkney of Fayetteville-Pine Forest, NC.

Central Florida has pledged defensive lineman Keith Shologan of Edmonton, Alberta. UCF recently gained defensive back Augustus Ashley of Jacksonville-First Coast, Fla; and offensive lineman Dominic Ignelzi of Port St. Lucie-West Centennial, Fla.

Rice has pledged offensive lineman Nathan Miller of Alvin, Tex. The Owls recently gained kicker Luke Juist of Houston-Strake Jesuit, Tex.

Tulsa pledged defensive back Chris Chamberlain of Bethany, Okla; and offensive lineman Nick Grimes of Greenville-Rose, NC. The Golden Hurricane recently gained defensive back Curtis Williams of Arlington-Sam Houston, Tex., over Kansas.

Stanford has pledged tight end Austin Gunder of Red Lion-Area, Pa. The Cardinal recently gained running back Jerod Arlich of Mahtomedi, Minn., over Colorado and Minnesota; and tight end/defensive lineman Pannel Egboh of Mesquite-North Mesquite, Tex., over Arizona, Duke and Colorado State.

Receiver Michael Jones of Sugar Land-Austin, Tex., picked Arizona State over Missouri and Oklahoma State. The Sun Devils recently gained running back/defensive back Price Wilks of Hacienda Heights-Wilson, Cal.
