QB Wolke selects Notre Dame

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have a commitment from quarterback David Wolke of Smyrna, Tenn., over interest from Kentucky, Wake Forest, Syracuse, Wisconsin, Boise State, Nebraska and Vanderbilt. The Irish recently gained linebacker/defensive back Maurice Crum Jr of Tampa-Tampa Bay Tech, Fla., over Michigan State, Tennessee and South Florida. Crum is the son of former Miami Hurricane and Tampa Bay Buccaneer linebacker Maurice Crum Sr.

Super Prospect offensive lineman Cornelius Lewis of Jacksonville-Raines, Fla., has chosen Florida State over North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida and Miami-Florida. The Seminoles recently gained kicker Gary Cismesia of Bradenton-Lakewood Ranch, Fla.,who decommitted from Georgia Tech; and offensive lineman Jacky Claude of Miami-Edison, Fla., over Miami-Florida, Ohio State, North Carolina State, Auburn, Rutgers and South Florida, among many others.

The Iowa Hawkeyes pledged Super Prospect offensive lineman Nyere Aumaitre of Camden-Woodrow Wilson, NJ., over Nebraska, Tennessee, North Carolina State and Rutgers, among others. The Hawks recently gained defensive lineman/tight end Lucas Cox of Springdale, Pa.

Penn State pledged quarterback/tight end Jordan Lyons of College Park-Woodward Academy, Ga., over Georgia, Maryland, Clemson, Michigan State and Stanford. Notre Dame had also shown interest. The Nittany Lions also added defensive back Adam DiMichele of McKees Rocks/Sto-Rox, Pa.

Georgia pledged touted receiver Kenneth Harris of Cherryville, NC., over North Carolina State. The Bulldogs recently gained defensive back/athlete Michael Grant of Stone Mountain-Stephenson, Ga., over Florida, Miami-Florida, Tennessee and Arkansas; defensive back Kelin Johnson of Daytona Beach-Mainland, Fla; and receiver Jamar Bryant of Rockingham-Richmond, NC.

Texas A&M has a commitment from linebacker Lee Foliaki of Euless-Trinity, Tex/Butler County CC, Kan. The Aggies recently gained quarterback Jordan Chambless of Corpus Christi-Calallen, Tex., over Rice; and tight end Amos Gbunblee of Cypress-Cypress-Springs, Tex., over Georgia Tech, Wisconsin, Iowa and TCU.

Running back A.J. Brooks of Orlando-Bishop Moore, Fla., is headed to Boston College over Duke, Maryland and East Carolina.

Pittsburgh added linebacker/running back Tyler Tipton of Lynchburg-Christian Academy, Va.

Syracuse has a pledge from defensive back/receiver Donta Herrod of Washington, DC-Woodson, over North Carolina State.
