Golden Bears strike with recruiting trifecta

The California Bears have commitments from Top 150 defensive lineman Phillip Mbakogu and receiver/defensive back Robert Jordan, both from Hayward, Cal; plus Top 150 linebacker Worrell Williams of Sacramento-Grant, Cal. Mbakogu also considered Kansas State, LSU, Notre Dame and Oregon, among many others. Williams picked the Bears over Miami-Florida.

Top 150 defensive lineman Nader Abdallah of Metairie-Rummel, La., has pledged to the Ohio State Buckeyes over Tennessee, Colorado, Florida State and Michigan State, among many others. The Bucks recently gained Top 150 offensive lineman Kyle Mitchum of Erie-McDowell, Pa., over Iowa and West Virginia. He also considered Michigan, Boston College, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin, among many others.

Super Prospect defensive lineman Ryan Baker of Indianapolis-Bishop Chatard, Ind., has chosen the Notre Dame Fighting Irish over Purdue. The Irish recently gained defensive back Leo Ferrine of Jersey City-St. Peter's Prep, NJ; quarterback Darrin Bragg of San Jose-Bellarmine, Cal; defensive lineman Justin Brown of Forestville-Bishop McNamara, Md; and defensive back/receiver Junior Jabbie of Princeton-The Hun School, NJ.

Super Prospect defensive back Lamar Herron of Sacramento-Natomas, Cal., decommitted from the USC Trojans for Oregon State.

Defensive lineman Mike Mangold, a Super Prospect from Merritt Island, Fla., has decommitted from Virginia Tech to Florida.

Tennessee pledged Super Prospect running back Arian Foster of San Diego-Mission Bay, Cal., over Oregon, Oregon State, North Carolina and West Virginia. The Vols recently gained offensive linemen Anthony Parker of Lovejoy, Ga; and Cameron Mayo of Dalton, Ga., who decommitted from Auburn.

Michigan State has a commitment from offensive lineman Jesse Miller of Somerville, NJ., over Iowa, Temple and Central Florida.

Indiana pledged linebacker Brian Tracz of Philadelphia-St. Joseph Prep, Pa; and defensive back Marcus Thigpen of Detroit-Mumford, Mich.

Texas A&M has a pledge from receiver Keith Dickerson of LaMarque, Tex., over Arizona.

The Iowa State Cyclones pledged defensive back Mack Kimble of New Madrid-Central, Mo. The Cyclones recently gained defensive lineman Collins Eboh of Des Moines-Roosevelt, Ia.

West Virginia pledged receiver Darius Reynaud of Boutte-Hahnville, La., over LSU, Indiana and Michigan State. The Mountaineers recently gained running back Tyler Benoit of Lafayette-Comeaux, La., over Michigan State and Oklahoma State; and running back/linebacker William McLee of Uniontown, Pa.

Duke has receiver Ryan Wood of Buford, Ga. The Blue Devils recently gained linebacker/defensive lineman Alfred Williams of Atlanta-Westlake, Ala.

Clemson pledged tight end Durrell Barry of Charleston-Fort Dorchester, SC. The Tigers recently gained receiver Aaron Kelly of Marietta-Walton, Ga., over Wake Forest and Duke.

Wake Forest pledged defensive back Kevin Patterson of Kingsland-Camden County, Ga. The Demon Deacons recently gained linebacker Antonio Wilson Jr and defensive back Demir Bolden, both from Pahokee, Fla.

Alabama pledged receiver D.J. Hall of Fort Walton Beach-Choctawhatchee, Fla.

Linebacker Gabe Wallace of Fort Campbell, Kty., has decommitted from Louisville for Kentucky.

Mississippi pledged defensive lineman Corey Mills of Memphis-Christian Brothers, Tenn., over Michigan and Memphis; offensive lineman Tim Henderson of Shreveport-Evangel, La., over Texas Tech, Oregon and Oklahoma State; and receiver/defensive back Larry Kendrick of Haines City, Fla/Florida/Pearl River CC, Miss., over Alabama and South Carolina. Kendrick spent two seasons with the Gators.

Arkansas has pledged running back Joe Casey of Paducah-Tilghman, Kty., who decommitted from Kentucky and is expected to attend junior college; plus defensive lineman Ernest Mitchell of Newnan, Ga., over Florida State and Clemson. The Razorbacks recently gained defensive backs Desmond Williams of Euless-Trinity, Tex; Matterial Richardson of Marlin, Tex; and D'Nearian Wrighter of Marlin, Tex.

Vanderbilt has pledged defensive lineman Lamar Divens of Fayetteville-Lincoln County, Tenn., who decommitted from Mississippi. Vandy recently gained receiver/defensive back Sean Walker of Louisville-Jefferson County, Ga., who decommitted from East Carolina.
