Seminoles, Sooners, Bears grab more commitments

The Florida State Seminoles have pledged Top 150 defensive lineman Aaron Jones and Super Prospect defensive back Kenny Ingram, both from Orlando-Edgewater, Fla., over Miami-Florida, among others. The Seminoles recently added offensive lineman Dumaka Atkins of Sarasota-Booker, Fla; Top 150 quarterback Xavier Lee of Daytona Beach-Seabreeze, Fla; offensive lineman Geoff Berniard of Lafayette-St. Thomas More, La; and receiver Kenny O'Neal of Oakland-Skyline, Cal.

Huge Top 150 offensive lineman Herman Johnson, a 395-pound prospect from Denton, Tex., has committed to the LSU Tigers over Oklahoma.

Top 150 offensive lineman Brandon Braxton of Youngstown-Ursuline, Ohio, has chosen the Oklahoma Sooners over Georgia and LSU.

Auburn pledged Top 150 offensive lineman Leon Hart of Columbia-Spring Valley, SC., over South Carolina. Among many others were Ohio State, Georgia, Virginia and Maryland. The Tigers recently gained defensive/offensive back Tristan Davis of Atlanta/Tri-Cities, Ga.

Georgia pledged Top 150 linebacker Josh Johnson of Stone Mountain-Stephenson, Ga., over Florida, Miami-Florida and Tennessee. The Bulldogs recently gained pledged athlete/quarterback Erik Walden of Thomasville-Thomas County, Ga.

Alabama pledged Super Prospect defensive lineman Lorenzo Washington of Loganville-Grayson, Ga., over Georgia. The Tide recently gained receiver D.J. Hall of Fort Walton Beach-Choctawhatchee, Fla.

Tennessee pledged Super Prospect running back David Holbert of Nashville-Brentwood Academy, Tenn., over Auburn, Florida, LSU and Oklahoma State. The Vols recently gained Super Prospect running back Arian Foster of San Diego-Mission Bay, Cal; and offensive linemen Anthony Parker of Lovejoy, Ga; and Cameron Mayo of Dalton, Ga.

Super Prospect receiver Albert Dukes of Bell Glade-Glades Central, Fla., has pledged to the Ohio State Buckeyes over North Carolina State, Miami-Florida and Florida. The Bucks recently gained Top 150 defensive lineman Nader Abdallah of Metairie-Rummel, La., over Tennessee, Colorado, Florida State and Michigan State, among many others.

Super Prospect athlete Sekeli Faaeteete of San Leandro, Cal., chose California after the USC Trojans pulled his offer. The Bears recently gained Top 150 defensive lineman Phillip Mbakogu and receiver/defensive back Robert Jordan, both from Hayward, Cal; plus Top 150 linebacker Worrell Williams of Sacramento-Grant, Cal. Mbakogu also considered Kansas State, LSU, Notre Dame and Oregon, among many others. Williams picked the Bears over Miami-Florida.

Oregon State has gained two Super Prospects in linebacker Will Price of Anaheim-Western, Cal., who decommitted from UCLA; and defensive back Lamar Herron of Sacramento-Natomas, Cal., who decommitted from the USC Trojans.

Miami-Florida has pledged Super Prospect defensive lineman/tight end Chris Zellner of Sarasota-Booker, Fla., over Clemson, Ohio State, Maryland and Pittsburgh. The Canes recently gained Top 150 defensive lineman Dwayne Hendricks of Millville, NJ; defensive back Anthony Reddick of Fort Lauderdale-St. Thomas Aquinas, Fla; and defensive lineman Antonio Dixon of Miami-Washington, Fla.

Texas A&M has a pledge from Super Prospect receiver Torey Degrate of Waco, Tex., over Oklahoma State. The Aggies recently gained receiver Keith Dickerson of LaMarque, Tex., over Arizona.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers have withdrawn their offer to defensive lineman Byron Smith of Bryan, Tex/Kilgore CC, Tex. The Huskers recently gained Top 150 offensive lineman Lydon Murtha of Hutchinson, Minn., who decommitted from Minnesota.

West Virginia pledged linebacker/defensive back Mathew Sinclair of Crowley, La. The Mountaineers recently gained receiver Darius Reynaud of Boutte-Hahnville, La., over LSU, Indiana and Michigan State; running back Tyler Benoit of Lafayette-Comeaux, La., over Michigan State and Oklahoma State; and running back/linebacker William McLee of Uniontown, Pa.
