ESPN Recruiting

The UCLA Bruins are off and running in Class 2005 recruiting with commitments from outstanding offensive lineman Jesse White of Denver-Mullen, Colo; and quarterback Osaar Rasshan of Pomona-Garey, Cal.

West Virginia has two Class 2005 pledges in touted running back Jason Gwaltney and running back/linebacker Scooter Berry, both from Long Island/North Babylon, NY. The Mountaineers also signed Class 2004 running back Raymond Williams of Cleveland-Benedictine, Ohio, who is expected to be a Prop 48. Williams was named Ohio's Mr. Football for 2003.

Florida State has its first Class 2005 commitment in linebacker Anthony Kelly of Daytona Beach-Seabreeze, Fla/Jones CC, Miss. Kelly picked the Seminoles as a prep.

Missouri has signed senior receiver Trenile Washington of Marietta, Okla.

Rutgers has a Class 2005 commitment from junior linebacker/running back Kevin Malast of Manchester, NJ. The Scarlet Knights added a late signee in defensive lineman Shukree Barfield of Camden, NJ., over interest from Miami-Florida, Tennessee and Kentucky.

Running back Gerwin Williams of Sacramento-Grant, Cal., is a late signee for Marshall.

Vanderbilt has signed kicker Daniel Lee of Riverside-Park Hill South, Mo.
