Three future Horns on McDonald's roster

Center/forward Dwight Howard of Atlanta, Ga., considered the nation's top prospect, highlights selections for the 2004 McDonald's All-American Game.

Howard, who has yet to chose a college, is expected to be the first or second pick if he enters this year's NBA Draft.

The Texas Longhorns have three All-Americans in the contest, while Duke, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina and UCLA all have two. Prep teammates Joe Crawford and Malik Hairston are on the West roster.

The game will be played Mar. 31 at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City at 9 p.m. EST and shown on ESPN.

Center Jackie Butler of Virginia Beach-Coastal Christian, Va., who signed with Tennessee, will test the 2004 NBA Draft. He will not sign with an agent and plans to enroll at Tennessee if he does not project as a first-round pick.

Notre Dame has pledged Class 2005 junior forward Zack Hillesland of Toledo-St. John's Jesuit, Ohio, over early offers from North Carolina State and Bowling Green.

Penn State pledged senior forward/guard Geary Claxton of New Haven-Hill Regional Career, Conn.
