Seminoles start early for 2005

Florida State has a pledge from touted Class 2005 junior forward Magnum Rolle of Freeport-St. George, Bahamas. He is expected to attend Hargrave MA, Va., next season.

One of the leading prep scorers in California, Class 2004 forward Tony Dandridge of San Bernardino-Cajon, Cal., is headed to New Mexico. Guard/forward Blake Harden of Albuquerque-Hope Christian, NM., will be a walk-on for the Lobos.

South Florida has pledged Class 2004 senior guard Montavious Waters of Albany-Westover, Ga.

Georgetown has pledged Class 2005 junior forward Alfred Aboya of Cameroon/Tilton-Tilton School, NH., who played on his country's national team.

Class 2005 junior forward/guard Rashad Woods of Cleveland-Heritage Christian, Tex., who recently decommitted from Baylor, is considering the Bears, UConn, Oklahoma and Texas.

2004 Nike Hoop Summit:
Apr. 4 at the Texas-San Antonio Convocation Center, San Antonio, Tex. The 2004 USA Basketball Men's Junior National Select team will play against the world's top 19-year-old players. The World Team has not been released.

2004 McDonald's All American Game:
Mar. 31 at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City at 9 p.m. EST on ESPN. Center/forward Dwight Howard of Atlanta, Ga., considered the nation's top prospect, highlights selections for the 2004 McDonald's All American Game. Howard, who has yet to chose a college, is expected to be the first or second pick if he enters this year's NBA Draft. The Texas Longhorns have three McDonald's All-Americans in the 2004 class. Duke, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina and UCLA all have two players for the game. Prep teammates Joe Crawford and Malik Hairston are on the West roster.
