Don't get in the way of Virginia during the Class 2005 football recruiting season. The Cavaliers already have 10 commitments and have no plans to slow down.

Two promising prospects, defensive lineman/tight end Aaron Clark of Lexington-Rockbridge County, Va; and linebacker/defensive lineman Denzel Burrell of Maplewood-Columbia, NJ., are the latest to pick Virginia. The Cavaliers recently gained offensive lineman Matt Lowry of Springfield-Cardinal O'Hara, Pa., over Syracuse. Eight of the 10 pledges are 6-5 or taller.

Touted Class 2005 kicker Troy Van Blarcom of Orange-Lutheran, Cal., committed to the USC Trojans over offers from Missouri, Alabama and Arizona State. Also showing interest were Notre Dame and Wisconsin.

Florida State has pledged Class 2005 running back/linebacker/defensive back Matt Dunham of Columbus-Pacelli, Ga., over Florida, Maryland, Auburn and Georgia Tech.
