Tigers snag eighth Class of 2005 pledge

LSU has its eighth commitment in Top 150 defensive lineman Al Jones of New Orleans-Augustine, La. Among other offers were Nebraska, Miami-Florida, Florida State, UCLA, Oklahoma State, Mississippi, West Virginia and Duke.

The Michigan Wolverines have their fifth commitment in receiver/defensive back LaTerryal Savoy of Mamou, La.

Virginia has its 13th commitment in receiver/defensive back Brandon Woods of Durham-Southern, NC. The Cavs recently gained defensive lineman Kevin Crawford of Woodbridge/Gar-Field, Va., over offers from Maryland, Syracuse and Kent State.

Baylor has pledged defensive lineman LeQuantum McDonald of Waco, Tex.
