Top 150 defensive back selects Sooners
The Sooners recently gained Top 150 receiver Malcolm Kelly of Longview, Tex., over Kansas State, LSU, Miami-Florida, Texas and Texas Tech, among others; and offensive lineman Ben Barresi of Edmond-North, Okla., over Oklahoma State and Wyoming.
Clemson has a commitment from 320-pound offensive lineman Jamarcus Grant of Mullins, SC., over South Carolina. The Tigers recently gained offensive lineman Thomas Austin of Camden, SC., over Maryland, Vanderbilt, Penn State, South Carolina and Wake Forest.
Top 150 quarterback Rob Schoenhoft, a Class 2005 prospect from Cincinnati-Xavier, Ohio, is set to announce between Ohio State (expected) and Michigan. Among many others were Florida, LSU, Michigan State and Notre Dame.
Super Prospect quarterback Jonathan Garner of Daytona Beach-Mainland, Fla., is near a decision between Stanford, Florida, Miami-Florida, Mississippi and Memphis.

Notre Dame has added five Class 2005 verbals, including touted quarterback Evan Sharpley of Marshall, Mich., over Iowa, LSU and Wisconsin; receiver David Nelson of Wichita Falls-Rider, Tex., over Nebraska and Kansas State; receiver David Grimes of Detroit-DePorres, Mich., over Iowa and Wisconsin; plus linebackers Scott Smith of Highland Park, Ill., over Illinois, Michigan State and UCLA, among many others; and Kevin Washington of Sugar Land, Tex., over Wisconsin, Northwestern and Houston.
The Iowa Hawkeyes have pledged Class 2005 linebacker B.J. Travers of Westlake, Ohio, over offers from Southern California, Pittsburgh, Maryland, Kentucky, Syracuse, Indiana and West Virginia, among many others.
Top 150 offensive lineman Kevin Bemoll of Mission Viejo, Cal., has chosen Ohio State over Florida, LSU and Miami-Florida, among many others. He joins teammate defensive lineman Ryan Williams, who had earlier picked the Buckeyes.

West Virginia pledged offensive lineman Frank Carduff of Shenandoah-Shenandoah Valley, Pa. The Mountaineers recently gained receiver/defensive back Jeremy Bruce of Beaver Falls-Blackhawk, Pa.
Syracuse has Class 2005 commitments from defensive lineman Andrew Lewis and defensive back Derek Bailey, both from Clifton-Centreville, Va. The Orange recently gained quarterback Adam Hearns of Lansdale-North Penn, Pa.
Wake Forest has pledged offensive lineman Trey Bailey of Duncan-Byrnes, SC; defensive back Channing Schofield of Wagener/Wagener-Salley, SC; and quarterback Brett Hodges of Winter Springs, Fla. The Demon Deacons recently gained tight end/defensive lineman Ben Wooster of Norcross-Greater Atlanta Christian, Ga; receiver Jonathan Jones of Madisonville-Sequoia, Tenn; tight end Ted Randolph of Mocksville-Davie County, NC; and receiver E.J. Wynn of Waldorf-St. John's, Md.
Alabama has pledged Class 2004 linebacker/defensive lineman Baron Huber of Knoxville-Powell, Tenn. The Tide recently gained a late signee for Class 2004 in defensive back Jeffrey Dukes of Oxford-Lafayette County, Miss/Northwest Mississippi CC, Miss.
Touted defensive lineman Louis Ellis of Jackson-Lanier, Miss., has decommitted from Mississippi. He is now considering Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Southern Mississippi and LSU. The Rebels recently pledged receiver J.D. Lawhorn of Memphis-University, Tenn., who had 65 receptions as a junior.
Arizona has a Class 2005 commitment from defensive lineman Anthony Sapa of Moreno Valley, Cal/Riverside CC, Cal., over Arizona State, Oregon State and Nebraska. The Wildcats recently gained defensive back Corey Hall of DeSoto, Tex.
Considered the nation's best pure pocket passer in Class 2005, Mark Sanchez of Mission Viejo, Cal., has committed to the USC Trojans over Ohio State and Texas. Among many others were Notre Dame, Florida, Stanford, Michigan and Oregon. He passed for 2460 yards and 29 touchdowns as a junior.
