Class of 2004: Armed and dangerous
Ed.s' note: Lemming's QB list was updated December 30.
With the recruiting season in full swing, it's time to take another look at the best prep quarterbacks in the country. After another season of seeing these slingers work on their craft, I had to make some changes, but unlike in other years, the prospects at the top of the list held steady.
Brian Brohm, Rhett Bomar, Chad Henne, Xavier Lee, Stephen McGee and Rocky Hinds are still my top six QBs. However, there are some changes. Erik Ainge is the only prospect making his debut on the list. The athletic lefty from Oregon had a good senior campaign and jumped in at No. 21. The biggest late move was made by Deerfield Beach's (Fla.) Brent Schaeffer, who rose from No. 23 to No. 15.
There might be a few more changes before Signing Day, so check back to see who drops out, drops down or moves up the list.
