UConn guard Price gets probation in laptop case
VERNON, Conn. -- Connecticut point guard A.J. Price was granted a special form of probation Tuesday for his role in the theft of laptop computers from dorm rooms.
UConn had already suspended the redshirt freshman from basketball for the 2005-06 season.
Under the accelerated rehabilitation program for first-time offenders, Price will have no criminal record if he successfully completes 18 months of probation and 400 hours of community service unrelated to basketball.
