Kansas' starting center Kaun to miss 3-6 weeks

No. 3 Kansas is hurting at the center position.
Already without the suspended junior center C.J. Giles, the Jayhawks lost starter Sasha Kaun for three-to-six weeks with a a partial tear of the patellar tendon in his right knee suffered during a Sunday workout.
"My excitement [about the start of the season] is a little tempered right now," coach Bill Self told reporters Monday. "We had a pretty rough day Sunday.
