Wildcats up a spot in rankings

Kentucky climbed a spot to No. 3 and picked up a first-place vote in the latest ESPN/USA Today men's college basketball rankings, which were released on Monday.

Kansas (9-0) and Texas (8-0) continue to lead the ratings, voted upon by 31 NCAA Division I men's basketball coaches. The Jayhawks had 30 first-place votes to easily outdistance the Longhorns.
