Welsh's DWI case adjourned until June
HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. -- A judge has adjourned the drunken driving case against former Hofstra men's basketball coach Tim Welsh until June 1.
Welsh has pleaded not guilty to aggravated driving while intoxicated and other charges following his arrest last Friday. He was stopped at a green light in Levittown at 1 a.m. ET when he was arrested. He is accused of having a blood-alcohol reading over 0.18, more than double the legal limit of 0.08.
