Kent State holds on to beat Fairmont State 77-75

KENT, Ohio -- Chris Evans finished with game-highs of 27 points and 9 rebounds to help Kent State hold on to beat Division II Fairmont State 77-75 Sunday night.

Kris Brewer added 11 points and Randal Holt chipped in with 10 to help Kent State (8-5) win its third game in a row.

Evans connected on a 3-pointer with 10:08 left to play to give Kent State its biggest lead of the game, 66-49. Evans was 6 of 10 from deep.
