Lawyer: Slain ex-player's wife had mental troubles

WALLINGFORD, Pa. -- An attorney for a suburban Philadelphia woman accused of fatally stabbing her husband -- a member of the University of Pennsylvania's 1979 Final Four team -- says her client has mental health problems.
Authorities say 55-year-old Matthew White was stabbed Monday in bed at his home in Nether Providence Township. His wife, Maria Rey Garcia-Pellon, is charged with first-degree murder.
