Michigan State G Keith Appling hurts shoulder
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Michigan State guard Keith Appling is confident the shoulder injury that knocked him out of Saturday's victory against Memphis won't stop him from playing in the NCAA tournament's round of 16.
Appling hurt his right shoulder with 8:35 left in the Spartans' 70-48 win. He left the court about a minute later, and didn't play again.
He was injured while trying to guard Tigers guard Geron Johnson.
