Will lose when ...
State's lack of a true point guard and the team's suspect board work come back to bite them.
Famous Last Words
A superstar like Julius Hodge, plus versatile big men in Marcus Melvin and Ilian Evtimov, combine with a unique offensive scheme to make N.C. State a very tough matchup.

TO THIS POINT How They Got Here: At-Large Bid
The Wolfpack must wait a few more days to atone for its second-half collapse in the ACC semifinals. But make no mistake, NC State is more likely to play like the team that led by 19 at halftime than the one that allowed Maryland to score 59 points in the second 20 minutes. It knocked off Duke, swept both Wake Forest and Georgia Tech, and won at Maryland. It wouldn't be a shock to see the Wolfpack playing in the second week of the Dance for the first time since 1989.
PLAYER TO WATCH Julius Hodge | G/F | Junior
Julius Hodge does a little bit of everything for the Wolfpack -- and he does it very well. Hodge leads NC State in scoring and assists, while ranking second to Marcus Melvin in rebounding. The Wolfpack will rely on his all-around game to advance in the tournament.
