TO THIS POINT America East champion How They Got Here:
The Mountain Hawks are dancing for the first time since 1988 thanks to freshman Jose Olivero's clutch jumper with five seconds to play in the Patriot League title game. Lehigh, the regular season champions, denied American its first NCAA bid, holding on for a 59-57 victory on its own court. Lehigh knows how to put points on the board, keeping up with UConn for a half in the nonconference season before losing by 20. But like most low-major teams, winning its conference tourney was the only way to the NCAAs.
