TO THIS POINT How They Got Here: At-Large Bid
If four teams could tie for the conference title, why not five? That was DePaul's thinking, as the Blue Demons got healthy in time to reel off nine wins in their final 10 regular season games to finish 12-4 in C-USA play. DePaul's late run to a share of the title included wins over Louisville and Cincinnati in the same week. It also beat UAB and Memphis in back-to-back games back in mid-January. DePaul couldn't complete its perfect late-season push, falling to the Bearcats in the conference title game. But the Demons still enter the Dance as one of the country's hottest teams.
PLAYER TO WATCH Andre Brown | F/C | Senior
One of only eight Blue Demon players to score 1,000 points and grab 800 boards, Brown is a dual threat on the low post. He thrives around the box where he can pickup offensive putbacks. Brown has the size to be effective in traffic, good instincts to the ball and a nice touch around the rim. After missing most of January, Brown has been the catalyst to the Demons' late surge and enters the tourney on a nice roll.
