Irish's Thomas score game-high 25

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Four Notre Dame players scored in double figures Wednesday night to lead the Irish to an 88-76 exhibition win over Coaches vs Cancer Team Dasani.

Junior guard Chris Thomas led all scorers with 25 points, including five 3-pointers. Senior guard Torrian Jones contributed 20, while sophomore forward Torrian Francis added 18 and Chris Quinn 12.

Former Connecticut guard Tony Robert led Dasani with 18.

The Irish fell behind 13-8, but a 3-pointer by Thomas cued a 12-4 run that put Notre Dame on top 20-15 midway through the first half.

Dasani improved to within one before another Thomas 3-pointer started a 9-4 run that put the Irish ahead 35-27 late in the half.

Two straight 3-pointers by freshman Russell Carter gave Notre Dame a 45-35 halftime edge.

Thomas led all scorers at the break with 13 points while Francis added 10. Mike Campbell had nine for Dasani.

Thomas' fourth 3-pointer of the night opened the second half and led a 13-7 run that set the score at 58-42. The Irish held on from there.
