BATON ROUGE, La. -- The Southern University Athletic Council announced Tuesday that it has reached a preliminary settlement with recently ousted basketball coach Michael Grant.
Details of the settlement weren't made available, but Southern
Chancellor Edward Jackson said documents detailing the agreement
would be made public Monday.
Grant was fired and named assistant athletic director April 27.
That post -- and the second year of Grant's three-year contract -- end Sunday.
Grant's attorneys could not immediately be reached for comment Tuesday.
