Marshall is team's only returning center
PHILADELPHIA -- Temple center Keith Butler has withdrawn from the university, school officials said Friday.
A three-year starter, Butler averaged 4.0 points and 4.3 rebounds last season. He leaves school with one year of eligibility remaining.
Butler averaged almost 21 minutes last year under coach John Chaney. He blocked 151 shots in his career, sixth-best in Owl history.
His departure leaves 6-foot-11 junior Wayne Marshall as the Owls' only returning center from a team that finished 16-14 last season and lost of the first round of the NIT.
