McDonald's high school games set for March 29
SAN DIEGO -- The McDonald's All-American high school basketball games have been scheduled for March 29 at San Diego State's Cox Arena.
The doubleheader will begin with the boys game at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN, followed by the girls game at 8:30 p.m. This is the first time that the boys game has been played first.
Additionally, San Diego State's Peterson Gym will be the site for the Powerade Jam Fest on March 27.
Ticket information will be announced in early 2006.
Each year, 24 boys and 24 girls are selected from a pool of more than 2,500 nominees nationwide.
Stars such as Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, LeBron James, Grant Hill and Kobe Bryant have all played in the McDonald's game, which raises money for the local Ronald McDonald House Charities.
This will be the first time the event has been held in California since 1984.
