One blowout loss hurt. Two in a row has sent Texas tumbling.

In the wake of a 17-point home loss to unranked Tennessee, preseason No. 2 Texas has dropped all the way to No. 15 in the latest ESPN/USA Today coaches' poll. The Longhorns were seventh last week after falling by 31 to No. 1 Duke.

Texas is not alone in the drop. Former No. 4 Louisville fell six spots after being routed at Rupp Arena by archrival Kentucky on Saturday. Wake Forest, mostly due to a disappointing home loss to DePaul, fell eight spots to No. 24.

Duke remains solidly in the top spot, holding on to 29 of a possible 31 first-place votes. Connecticut and Villanova remained second and third, each receiving one first-place vote. Memphis and Florida each bumped up one spot to round out the top five.

The only newcomer to this week's poll is unbeaten but untested Pittsburgh, which checks in at No. 25, replacing Iowa.
