Boyle leaves Wichita State for Bears
GREELEY, Colo. -- The University of Northern Colorado named Greeley native Tad Boyle as its new men's basketball coach Monday, capping a two-month search.
Boyle, 42, a 1981 graduate of Greeley Central High School, spent the past six years as an assistant at Wichita State University.
Boyle replaces Craig Rasmuson, who resigned in late February after compiling a 63-129 record in seven seasons to become a full-time fundraiser for UNC athletics.
The Bears last season completed the third year of a four-year move from Division II to Division I and will play in the Big Sky Conference next season.
