Noah has upper respiratory infection, not mono
Florida SID Fred Demarest told ESPN.com's Andy Katz that Noah has been diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection, but not mono. He needs to rest but should be available for Sunday's game at Florida State.
Head coach Billy Donovan was tested by a doctor this afternoon after displaying symptoms similar to Noah's. Tests results were negative, revealing that Donovan does not have mono and should be fine.
Brewer might miss several games because of mononucleosis.
Brewer, who is averaging 11.7 points and 4.3 rebounds, was initially diagnosed with the flu last week when the defending national champions played Western Kentucky and Kansas in Las Vegas. But his condition got worse, and tests revealed mononucleosis.
Brewer was out of the starting lineup Tuesday night as the Gators drubbed winless Southern 83-27. Sophomore Walter Hodge started in his place.
