Judson fired as Northern Illinois basketball coach
DEKALB, Ill. -- Northern Illinois fired basketball coach Rob Judson on Saturday, three days after the Huskies completed their season with a first-round loss to Western Michigan in the Mid-American Conference tournament.
The Huskies were 7-23 this season and 74-101 in six seasons under Judson.
"This was a difficult decision," athletic director Jim Phillips said. "While our program has made strides in many areas under Coach Judson and his staff, we have not sustained the levels of competitive success and support necessary to continue on this path."
