Davis schedules news conference to discuss future
BATON ROUGE, La. -- LSU center Glen Davis, who has been contemplating a move to the NBA, has called a news conference for Tuesday morning to discuss his future.
Head coach John Brady said Davis, a junior, has been meeting with pro sports agents and that he is leaning toward turning pro.
The 6-foot-9, 290-pound Davis was an AP second team All-America selection during the 2005-06 season, when LSU went to the Final Four. This season, he averaged 17.7 points and 10.4 rebounds.
With career totals of 1,587 points, 916 rebounds and 110 blocks, he is the only LSU player other than Shaquille O'Neal to surpass 1,500 points, 900 rebounds and 100 blocks.
