Keating to leave UCLA for Santa Clara coaching job
UCLA assistant Kerry Keating will be the next head coach at Santa Clara, multiple sources told ESPN.com.
Before coming to the Bruins, Keating spent two seasons (2001-03) at Tennessee under Buzz Peterson.
Santa Clara finished the regular season with a 21-10 record and a 10-4 mark in the West Coast Conference. The Broncos missed their chance to take home the WCC tournament title with a 77-68 loss to Gonzaga.
Keating replaces the retiring Dick Davey. Keating helped recruit and lead UCLA to the Final Four the past two seasons.
