Williams out 4-6 weeks after tearing medial meniscus in right knee

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Louisville senior forward Terrence Williams underwent knee surgery Wednesday and is expected to be out four to six weeks.

The school announced that the surgery was successful.

Dr. John Ellis performed the surgery to repair a medial meniscus tear in Williams' right knee. Williams was injured during a pickup game Tuesday.

Williams averaged 11.1 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists last season. He had two triple-doubles as a junior. Williams is 48th on the career scoring list at Louisville with 1,102 points.
