LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Ramon Harris, the Kentucky forward who was hospitalized after colliding head to head with a teammate in Wednesday's 103-61 victory over Lamar, was released from UK Chandler Hospital Thursday and is listed as day-to-day.

Harris, a junior, was preparing to run up the floor when he ran into guard Michael Porter. The two appeared to hit heads and both fell to the floor. Harris tried to get up but then fell back to the ground. He laid there several minutes before paramedics took him away on a stretcher with his mother at his side.

Team spokesman John Hayden said earlier on Thursday that a round of tests performed on Harris came back normal, but the swingman from Alaska was kept longer for further observation.

Kentucky coach Billy Gillispie said doctors were checking Harris' back and spine for damage.

Porter also had trouble getting up after the collision but was able to walk off the floor with an ice pack over his left eye. He returned to the bench late in the first half with 10 stitches over the eye and did not play the remainder of the game.

Harris is averaging 9.3 points and 3.2 rebounds this season for the Wildcats.
