Bartow gets 2-year extension
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- Murry Bartow has been given a two-year contract extension as the men's basketball coach at East Tennessee State Buccaneers.
The school said in a news release Thursday that his contract now runs through the end of the 2013-14 season.
Bartow, in six seasons at ETSU, has a 118-72 record. He led the Buccaneers to conference championships in 2004, 2007 and 2009, along with trips to the NCAA tournament in 2004 and 2009, and a berth in the NIT in 2007.
"There is still more we can do," Bartow said in a statement released by the university.
He is the son of longtime college coaching legend Gene Bartow.
