Niemann out with ACL tear
LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska center Christopher Niemann is out for the season after reinjuring his knee.
Cornhuskers coach Doc Sadler said in a statement on Friday that the 6-foot-11 German tore the ACL in one of his knees. Sadler said the sophomore had surgery on Thursday.
Niemann was ruled ineligible last season because he was a member of a German club team that included professionals.
