Two weeks ago, Texas was No. 1 -- and has lost three of four games since.

Kansas (20-1) knocked off Missouri and Kansas State (in overtime) last week to climb back to the top of the ESPN/USA Today coaches' rankings, released Monday.

The Jayhawks were No. 1 as recently as Jan. 4, but lost to Tennessee, ending a nine-week run which began with the preseason rankings.

Villanova (19-1) moved up to No. 2, followed by Kentucky (20-1), Syracuse (21-1) and Michigan State (19-3).

Texas fell all the way from sixth to 10th, behind West Virginia (17-3), Purdue (18-3), Georgetown (16-4) and Duke (17-4).

Purdue climbed five spots while West Virginia and Georgetown each moved up three.

Kansas State moved to No. 11 -- up two spots -- despite losing to Kansas. Gonzaga fell five spots to 13th after losing to the University of San Francisco.
